Alferce – Monchique

Nach 2 Tagen auf dem Stellplatz zieht es uns weiter Richtung Süden – ganz schön hügelig hier. Eine sehr raue Gegend mit vielen Bäumen und hohen Bergen. Wir landen in dem kleinen Örtchen Alferce, wo die Gemeinde einen sehr schönen Stellplatz zur Verfügung stellt. Im Dorfladen ein bisschen Brot, Tomatensauce und Bier gekauft – viel mehr war da auch nicht ;o) – Der Platz hatte Waschplätze für das Geschirr, für die Wäsche und eine Möglichkeit, Wasser zu leeren und zu füllen. Superschön gemacht – Danke dafür!

After 2 days on the campsite we are headed south – very hilly here. A very rough area with loads of trees and high mountains. We end up in the small village of Alferce, where a free parking space is offered. In the village shop I got some bread, tomato sauce and beer – there wasn’t a lot more to buy anyways ;o) – The place offers a spot to do dishes and handwash laundry as well as fresh water and a spot for used water. Very pretty – thanks for that!

10th – 12th May 2019
Der Strand rückt näher – weiter geht’s Richtung Monchique. So viele Eukalyptusbäume – unfassbar! Auf dem Weg ein Geschäft gesehen – gleich rein und Vorräte auffüllen. Park4night führt uns eine Schotterstrasse hoch – ob das hier richtig ist? – Und wow, wir sind goldrichtig! Was für ein toller Platz! Klein – 14 Plätze mit WC und Dusche und einem Pool mit Aussicht – Einfach nur toll! Hier treffen wir Neil und Pat von Cloud9ontour.com – Was für ein Zufall! Natürlich haben wir die beiden gelöchert mit Fragen, da sie ja schon 2 Jahren in Südamerika unterwegs sind. Super tolle Gespräche!

The beach is getting closer – we are headed towards Monchique. So many eucalyptus trees – unbelievable! Spotted a shop on the way – got in and filled up. Park4night leads us up a gravel road – is that really the right way? – and wow, it is 100%! What a great place! Small – 14 spots with toilet and showers and even a pool with a view – just spectacular! We meet Neil and Pat from cloud9ontour.com – What a coincidence! We bombarded them with tons of questions as they are already traveling South America for 2 years. Great talks – Thanks guys!
