Es wird mal wieder Zeit für einen Stopp mit etwas „Luxus“. Also fahren wir Richtung Laredo auf einen Campingplatz. Der Platz liegt an der langen Sandbucht von Laredo. Viele Dauercamper. Laredo selbst schauen wir uns nicht an, da es doch sehr touristisch ist für unseren Geschmack. Wir geniessen die Zeit auf dem Campingplatz. Am zweiten Tag Abends standen dann auf einmal die beiden Mädels, welche wir in Sopela getroffen haben da – so cool! Wir machen es uns in Baerbel gemütlich und quatschen den ganzen Abend lang über Gott und die Welt!

It’s time for some „luxury“. We drive on a campsite in Laredo. It lies directly at the sandy … of Laredo. Lots of long term campres. We didn’t visit Laredo, way too touristy for us. We rather enjoy the time on the campsite. On the second day at dawn we got visitors: The girls we met in Sopela – how cool is that! We made ourselves comfortable in Baerbel and chat along about god and the world!

Über Park4night habe ich einen Stellplatz in Cobreces gefunden, der Top bewertet ist. Zudem soll es um die Ecke einen sehr schönen Wasserfall geben – den muss ich sehen. Der Platz ist super, die Betreiberin top und die Lage ein Traum! Auf geht’s zu einer kleinen Wanderung an der Küste Cantabria. Wow – richtig schön! Zum Wasserfall sind es gute 2.5km – leider war der Wasserfall lediglich ein Rinnsal… Naja, die Aussicht ist trotzdem der Hammer. Natürlich lasse ich es mir nicht nehmen, auch den Strand von oben zu sehen. Also entscheide ich spontan, den schmalen Pfad der Klippen entlang zu gehen – und ich bereue es überhaupt nicht!! Einfach nur atemberaubend schön – bis auf die hohen Gräser ;o) Gut habe ich mein Wasser mitgenommen, die Temperaturen haben es nämlich in sich! Tja, dann stehe ich vor einem Elektrozaun – was tun? Unten durchkrabbeln scheint die einzige Lösung. Hätte fast geklappt ohne bzzzz ;o) Tja, weckt Kindheitserinnerungen :O)) Der Ausblick auf den Strand entschädigt die „Strapazen“. Weil ich ja schon unterwegs bin, nehme ich auch gleich die Kirche noch mit bevor ich zurück zu Baerbel marschiere. Absolut sehenswert dieser Küstenabschnitt!

Via Park4night I found an overnight spot in Cobreces with top ratings. Moreover, there is a beautiful waterfall just around the corner – I have to check that out. The spot is super, the owner very nice and the surrounding a dream! Off I go for a little hike along the coast of Cantabria. Wow – really beautiful! To the waterfall it is about 2.5km – unfortunately the waterfall was only a little water spill… Well the view is stunning. Of course I have to see the beach from above as well. So I spontanously decide to take the small path along the coast line with its cliffs – and I’m not regretting this decision at all!! Just breathtaking – except for the high grass ;o) I’m happy that I’ve taken some water with me as the temperatures are really high! Well, there I am finding myself in front of an electric fence – what now? Crawl underneath it seems to be the only solution. I almost made it without being bzzzzed ;o) Reminds me of my childhood :o)) The view on the beach makes up the „struggle“. As I’m already on the way, I walk up the church before heading back to Baerbel. Absolutely worth stopping here!

Weiter nach Westen durch die Nebenstrassen Richtung Pechón. Der Parkplatz liegt über einem wunderschönen Strand mit einer kleinen Insel, welche bei Ebbe über den Strand erreicht werden kann. Super schön – bis auf den Weg zurück zum Parkplatz… Ich glaube, ich sollte etwas mehr Sport machen ;o)

Still heading west through small streets with destination Pechón. The parking space is next to a beautiful beach with a small Island and can be reached over the sandy beach during low tide. Very beautiful – except for the way back up to the parking lot… I think I need to do more sport ;o)

Auf unserer heutigen Fahrt passieren wir die Picos de Europa, welche wir nicht besuchen – wir kommen ja aus den Bergen ;o) – Wir steuern lieber wieder das Meer an und landen auf einem Picknickplatz bei Guadamía mit wunderschönem Blick auf die Bufones de Pria und auf die Acantilados de Guadamía. Die Playa de Guadamía verschwindet mit der Flut fast komplett. Ein beeindruckendes Schauspiel! Und die Küste ist der Hammer! Solche Felsstrukturen habe ich noch nie gesehen – richtig faszinierend. Der Sonnenuntergang toppt dann das Ganze nochmals – was für ein Leben :O)

On todays drive we pass the Picos de Europa which we don’t visit – we used to live by the mountains ;o) – We rather head to the sea and end up at a picknick place next to Guadamía with a stunning view to the Bufones de Pria and Acantilados de Guadamía. The playa de Guadamía is almost vanashing completely during high tide. A very impressive spectacle! And the coast is WOW! I have never seen such rock structures before – very fascinating. The sun set is even topping that again – what a life :O)
