Nach erfolgreichem Batterietausch fahren wir zu einem lang ersehnten Highlight: San Sebastian. Wir ergattern sogar einen Platz auf dem Stellplatz von San Sebastian. Von dort sind es ca. 2km zu Fuss zur Küstenpromenande am Playa Ondarreta und Playa Concha. Wunderschön – viele Fussgänger und Fahrradfahrer trotz des bescheidenen Wetters.

After the succesful change of battery we drive to the long expected highlight: San Sebastian. We even get a place at the overnight stop in San Sebastian. From the parking spot it is about 2km by foot to the promenade along the coast of Playa Ondarreta and playa Concha. Very beautiful – lots of pedestrian and bycicles.
Vorbei am del padre Vinuesa Plaza über de Cervantes Plaza zum Parque Alderdi Eder, welcher direkt am Busbahnhof liegt. Das Flair der Stadt ist sehr entspannt und gleichzeitig sehr hip.

Ich passiere das Denkmal zu den Unruhen unter Franco und gehe weiter Richtung Tourismusbüro. Dort decke ich mich mit einigen Informationen ein bevor ich die Fussgängerzone mit vielen Bars und Geschäften hinabschlendere. Dort liegt auch der wunderschön angelegte Gipuzkoa Plaza. Langsam wird es dunkel und ich mache mich wieder auf den Rückweg. San Sebastian ist definitv ein Besuch wert. Die Architektur ist der Hammer und die Strassen laden zum Flanieren und Einkaufen sowie Essen und Trinken ein.

I pass the monument of the fight under Franco and head on towards the tourist office. There I get some information before heading on to the pedestrian area with lots of bars and shops. On the way, I pass the very beautifully layed out Gipuzkoa Plaza. It’s getting dark and I head back to Baerbel. San Sebastian is definetly worth a visit. The architecture is stunning and the streets invite to stroll and shop as well as enjoy a fabulous meal with typical Bascian cider.
